How do we live our lives socially minded? How do we care about others in our daily routines? How do we cross borders and grow together as a society?
At TEDxDresden 2016 we want to focus on ideas that seek answers to these questions. Ideas that are worth spreading. Ideas that inspire us to build bridges, to communicate better and to share what we have - so that everybody gains. The social turn, inspired by a movement in art, can be applied to everyday life. Let's do the turn!
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDresden, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDresden event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
